From Fibroids to Freedom

From Fibroids to Freedom

One Woman's Story. A Movement for Millions.

DISCOVER THE JOURNEY OF WELLNESS

For too long, millions have been told that debilitating periods, chronic pain, heavy bleeding, infertility, and exhaustion are simply "part of being a woman." From Fibroids to Freedom: From Silence to Strength challenges that narrative.

Part memoir, part health advocacy guide, and part call to action, this groundbreaking book combines Tanika Gray Valbrun's deeply personal journey with uterine fibroids, pregnancy loss, infertility, multiple myomectomies, and motherhood with the clinical expertise of Dr. Soyini Hawkins.

Together, they offer readers more than information. They offer validation, hope, and practical tools to reclaim their voice.

Inside, you'll discover how to:

  • Recognize when symptoms should never be ignored.

  • Prepare for meaningful conversations with your healthcare providers.

  • Ask informed questions and advocate for the care you deserve.

  • Understand your treatment options with greater confidence.

  • Build a community of support and move from isolation to empowerment.

This book is also an invitation to see fibroids through a broader lens—one shaped by race, gender bias, fertility, faith, family, culture, and health equity. It reminds us that while fibroids are common, suffering in silence should never be considered normal.

Whether you're living with fibroids, supporting a loved one, or committed to advancing women's health, this book will leave you informed, encouraged, and empowered.
